ABOUT

Hello and thank you for your interest in my classes. I am a proud 2nd amendment supporter and I believe in your right to protect you and yours.  I also believe that though it is our right to defend ourselves, we should never take the commitment to arming ourselves lightly.  That processing a firearm is a huge responsibility and that we should never become complacent in the care and handling of our firearms. My goal is to not only teach accuracy, but to teach my students to safely secure and operate their firearm.

I have been a firearms instructor for over 5 years. I have taught CCW, Firearms Safety, Basic Pistol classes as well as instruction for the Jr. Trap program.

I enjoy sharing my love of shooting with all firearms owners and my primary goal in becoming a CCW instructor was to produce safe, qualified permit carriers. My instructional approach is tailored to each student’s needs and qualifications. I feel that as a female instructor, I am uniquely poised to offer a comfort level to some women that would not feel comfortable with male instruction. I have a passion for shooting sports and feel that I am a valuable asset to local firearms education.

Initial CCW is two consecutive 8-hour days of instruction for a total of 16 hours. Classroom instruction will be from 8am to 12pm with a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm and resume with live fire instruction on the range from 1pm to completion no later than 5pm or half an hour before sunset.  My maximum class size is 12 students and my Range Safety Officer to student ratio is 1 to 4.

Renewal CCW are a total of 8 hours of instruction. 4 hours of classroom and 4 hours of live fire on the range.

All classes meet the Mendocino County Sheriff training requirements for CCW Instruction.

All renewal and initial CCW students are informed that it is their responsibility to stay abreast of all current laws pertaining to Conceal Carry and gun laws.

Range instruction includes range commands, basic pistol function, and range safety parameters.

With a small student to RSO ratio, RSO are hands on making sure that all firearms safety rules are followed, and safe shooting practices are maintained.
